 They land in Carthage, where Aeneas narrates his journey to Queen Dido. Book 2 - The Fall of Troy: Aeneas tells Dido about the Greek siege of Troy, including the infamous Trojan Horse and the city's destruction.  Book 4 - Dido's Passion: Aeneas and Dido fall in love, but Aeneas is reminded of his duty to found a new city. Dido's despair leads to her tragic death.  Books 6-7 - Aeneas in the Underworld: Aeneas visits the Underworld guided by the Sibyl of Cumae. He meets his father, Anchises, who reveals Rome's future greatness and the destiny of his descendants.  Books 8-12 - Aeneas in Italy and the War with Turnus: Aeneas lands in Italy and allies with local leaders to establish a settlement. However, he faces opposition from Turnus, the leader of the Rutuli.
